Bob,
As oft repeated by Elden Gatwood in TKM, all (metal) surfaces were
FCC. Of course, weathering can make the underbody look almost black,
but the trick is that there are still areas that have that FCC color
shining through. That's why I always paint the underside of the car
FCC and then weather appropriately.
