There are pictures in Paul Withers Vol.5 Fairbanks-Morse
Locomotives and a picture in Pennsy Power 2. Nos. 9472,9473,9474,9475,9476,9477,9478 &
9479 had steam generators. B-units for even nos. The
A-B-A sets were geared for Frt with the set of 9478A - 9478B - 9479A being
geared for high speed psgr service and were assigned for a short time to the
BROADWAY LIMITED.
Class for these 12 looks like FF-3s initially.The others were FF-3. The
reclassing seems to be a bit confusing as these 12 were FP-3,others were FF20
and then this 12 unit order was reclassed again to
FP-20a with the high speed geared set classed FP-20.
