[PRR-talk] Erie-builts w/steam generators?

Fred,

According to Withers Pennsylvania Railroad Diesel Locomotive 
Pictorial Volume 5,  one of the A-B-A sets came with passenger 
gearing.  In April, 1949 9 other units were re geared for passenger 
duty.  They originally carried the FP-3 class, changing to the FP-20a 
in 1951 and in 1952 they dropped the "a".  By April, 1953 all 
Erie-Builts' became FF-20.
