Thanks- it would seem, given those nos., that K7's didn't often mix  w/K9's 
and almost never w/K11's.  It seems like I recall someone posting  awhile back 
about 
the PRR leasing steel stockcars ca. 1958-59 before the K9 and 11's were  
running in quantity, but I can't remember the details.

You may be thinking of the K12's.  Those were 25 cars bought/leased  not sure 
which from the E-L.
