Jerry,

PRR stock car classes included:
KF, KFA, K7, K7A, K8 which were all of composite construction (steel  
bracing, wooden slats) on both the sides and ends
K9, K11 which were all steel conversions of X31 and X32 boxcars.

So, no, I don't think wood side, steel end stock cars were  
prototypical for PRR.  Any idea who made the model?  We can probably  
help ID them.  As for prototypical PRR stock cars, the Broadway  
Limited K7A is available for FIRE SALE prices right now from Factory  
Direct trains and the K9 and K11 can be had from Bowser.
