I am ok with E44s in Santa Fe or even BNSF if it means we could get some in
PRR.
Jesus Saves, you should too!

scheme?
I might just as to Al's comment it was our role at TKM to report or not to
report on such products, and we/I elected to do so and we did make it very
clear that the products, as they were announced, were not truly PRR
prototypes. However; we did work with Rapido to correct the PRR paint and
lettering schemes to better reflect PRR practices and I did go so far as to
ask Jason to change the names of the Duplex sleepers to the "Creek" series
as it was much more appropriate to the era than the ones originally
intended. Regardless, of the accuracy/fidelity to PRR prototypes they/Rapido
was going to address the PRR market, we felt that the best role we could
play was to apply PRR practices to the cars offer as a guideline for Rapido.
Regardless, of how one person might view this hobby as to the right and
wrongs of the marketing, one only need to understand the demand for product,
the cost to produce and the return on investment, As they say,"you want to
know how to make a small fortune in this hobby? Start with a big one..." If
you want to market products that are realistic in accuracy for a particular
railroad, brace yourself for the affordability(think in terms of brass). The
cost to produce will far exceed the marketable price if you can't offer the
products in other roadnames. It's just a fact...
Who are we to tell/condemn a company that they are wrong in this practice,
it has been on going for years...

Rich said: Because they are 1) too trusting of manufacturers, 2)
ignorant of the fact that it is a bogus car and the model press fails to
inform them of that, 3) it is painted for PRR, and 4) they don't care.
It has been said if someone put a Keystone on a horse turd it would
sell. I believed it then and still believe it. BTW TKM did call PRR
modelers attention that the Rapido passenger cars, although extremely
well done, were bogus for PRR.
