oops...I just realized Tom was asking about the ACF plant in Milton, not Berwick...sorry

Page 182 of the CT1000 shows the ACF #1 plant in Milton as being serviced via the Canal Siding off the Mainline (Harrisburg-Buffalo), with the west connection at MP 13.6 (from Sunbury) and the east connection at MP 14.2.

PRR is listed as serving ACF via the Berwick Branch, which went off the mainline at Watsontown. It was located at mp 55.1. btw, the branch ended .3 miles past the ACF siding, at the Berwick Station. (info from page 183 of the 1945 CT 1000; Eastern Region, Williamsport Division).

The 1954 Reading Company Freight Shippers' Guide lists ACF in Milton as serviced by the Reading via a private siding. I'm not all that familiar with the trackage there - was the plant serviced by BOTH the PRR and RDG?

I'm considering the ACF car plant in Milton as a potential industry on
my home layout. Does anyone have a source for photos, diagrams and
incoming carloads circa 1956? The neat part about such an industry is
that "loads out" really means "fright cars out"

      Any help much appreciated.
