Ryan, Bruce and all,

I believe the only way to stop this crap, and it is crap, is for us consumers to not take part in such agreements.  I don't mind, and I fully understand, why a manufacturer will not go to production without a good market guarantee, but to put the consumer at risk, when there's no profit in it for him is, as Bruce put it, "unethical".

  Thanks Bruce.  I went into the Caboose Hobbies deal knowing up front that if projects were cancelled that I'd lose the $50 deposit.  The policy is clearly stated on their website.  So I just ate that loss.
