Folks,
I think some of the confusion also comes from the fact that when Pennsy's
steamers were equipped with both class and marker lights, the markers were
on the pilots and the class lights were on the boilers, and then in later
years, long after the class lights were gone, the markers were moved to
the boiler, where the class lights had been.
