Too bad about the loss of this project.
One thing that is troubling is the quote by the manufacturer. I hope that we
(PRR fans) are not getting a reputation of being hyper-critical ingrates who
rip into any manufacturer that does not produce a Pennsy model 100% perfect.
Ted,
I didn't see the quote from the manufacturer. It was a bold step to take on a
project with a limited scope, but I tip my hat to the effort.
We always try to look at the bright side and personally I took some flack for
my position regarding the WKW N6b, with the explanation of the step issue,
but I had no explanation for the poor interruption of the trucks, and the FUBAR
of the window surrounds. The effort in my humble opinion was good and the
mistakes were correctable.
We strive for perfection and most modelers of late seem to want more or
absolute perfection and make bold unrealistic statements if that is not what they
lay their money down and get.
For heavens sakes we are modelers for if we weren't and everything you bought
was dead on there would be no TKM, you wouldn't need it or us...
Ted, thanks for the support.
Greg Martin
