The following are updates on several scale model projects from
Merchandise Service...

ROCKVILLE TOWER -- HO and N scales -- Cancelled -- Updated 1/1/08

The ROCKVILLE tower project has been cancelled. In N scale there
weren't enough reservations. In HO scale there were barely enough
reservations. That was compounded by new issues presented by the
intended manufacturer.

Plans to produce BANKS and VIEW towers are now on indefinite hold as
a result.

X29 BOX CAR KITS -- HO scale - Updated 1/1/08

Our exclusive run of MERCHANDISE SERVICE kits have been shipped to
those who reserved.

Our exclusive run of RAILWAY EXPRESS AGENCY kits is fully reserved.

BERWIND HOPPERS -- N scale -- Now Available - Supplies Dwindling!

The Berwind White coal company ran GLa style hoppers in solid trains
across the Pennsy system; they owned thousands of them! They commonly
entered the PRR mains at South Fork and headed east to the Berwind
pier at New York harbor. Unlike their HO scale counterparts, Bowser
has declined repeated appeals to issue more than the first series of
3 numbers. Merchandise Service has produced a run of 30 12-packs of
exclusive road numbers. These cars are now in stock and are available
singly or in 12 packs.

HARRIS TOWER -- N scale -- Now Available! -- (HO scale sold out)

HARRIS tower, protected the west end of the Harrisburg, Pa.,
passenger station during the Pennsylvania Railroad, Penn Central, and
into the Amtrak years. Conrail and Norfolk Southern freight continues
to roll by today. It is restored by the Harrisburg Chapter of the
NRHS. We contracted with The N Scale Architect to produce this kit as
an exclusive, limited release and it will not be rerun. It includes
micro plywood and peel-n-stick panels and castings.

THE PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD IN 1954 -- CD-ROM -- Now Available!

"Excerpts from Keystone Crossings #4: The Pennsylvania Railroad in
1954" is a CD-ROM collection of files pertaining to the Pennsylvania
Railroad in 1954. Several thousand pages of original PRR documents
have been scanned and are included on this one disk! The format of
the disk is ISO-9660, which is accessible by UNIX, Wintel, and
Macintosh computing platforms. Files are in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.
Originally priced at $100; now only $80.
