[PRR-talk] PRR L1s 3635 in Passenger Service

Would PRR diesel shops Car shops etc have metal roll up doors in the mid
50's?  Or wooden doors?

I was looking at pictures of the Enola coaling tower, on each side  toward
the  bottom in the middle of the side is a square opening.  Does anyone know
if this goes completely through the side or is just a recess?  Purpose?
