[PRR-talk] Lewistown Yard

In looking at many versions of yard diagrams of Lewistown over the
years, it is readily apparent that it seems there are two yards
there. There is a separation between the two yards. Not much, maybe
only the width of a road or so. I had thought that perhaps this just
indicated where tracks may have been removed over time.
However, on page 22 of the 1984 Keystone article by Jim Lynch, the
1955 diagram shows a division point between the Middle Division and
the former Sunbury Division -- only on the lower yard. Does this
imply that perhaps the lower (southern most) yard was for the Sunbury
& Lewistown Branch (S&L... Selinsgrove Secondary) and the upper
(northern most) yard was for the Milroy Branch?
This is the only place I have seen the suggestion of a separation of
duties for the two yards. Otherwise I might have assumed one was
inbound and one outbound.
