Re:  I know that the out side is a buff and a shade of maroon but what
would the inside be?
 
Where did you get the idea the outside was buff and maroon?
 
By 1954 there were actually four schemes of standard colors for building
exteriors. Supplement 1 to Letter of General Practice No. 88-H, dated
March 22, 1954.

 

Scheme 1

Light Building Paint ground 

Dark Building Paint trim

 

Scheme 2

Medium or Light Gray ground

Maroon trim

 

Scheme 3

Buff Building Paint ground

Dark Building Paint trim

 

Scheme 4

Buff Building paint ground

Sage Green trim

 

The window sash was generally a red or maroon color.
