Kenny,
First PRRPro. that will be a couple of projects in the future, but
yes, we are going to be working on H class steamers. With PRRPro, we
work like a co-op. You work, ask questions and answer questions as
best you can. We all help each other. I do think that some folks
will be doing Bowser H8/9 or 10 models. I will be working on
improving a Sunshine H8 and maybe an H9.
As for the backhead, good question! Maybe we can get someone to take
a photo of the H10 at the RRMofPA. I basically built a new backhead
for my Bowser I1 using styrene and available commercial brass
castings. Photos of it are on the PRRPro site.
As for markers and classification lights.... Up until the late 1930s,
clawfoot lights on the smokebox were used to show the class of the
train and clawfoot markers were used on the pilot. In the late
1930's the class lights were removed leaving only the pilot beam
clawfoot markers. Post WWII, the marker were moved from the pilot
beam to the smokebox and changed to a more modern type.
As for constant and direction lighting, I find the easiest way is to
use a tsunami DCC sound decoder ;^)
