[PRR-talk] Blue Line PRR Engines

Bob,

Sorry, I can't answer your question regarding the Blue Line locos, but I can
tell you the new Proto 2000 PRR F7s from Walthers.

You may have to wait a couple of months until they're available, but the
wait will be worth it as they will not only have the trainphone antennas,
but also, the two MU receptacles (dynamic brake and control MUs) on either
side of the headlight, the large lifting lugs just above the anti-climber
and the pilot MU hoses (4 hoses--just clip off those that don't match your
specific number when comparing to photos) and the correct horn (and horn
tone.in those equipped with QSI sound/DCC). Besides the above, the
windshield has been retooled from what was done on the first ones that are
currently on the street so it is correctly recessed, not to mention the new
14:1 helical gears and high torque, high efficiency, high horsepower motor
and diecast metal knuckle couplers (the old plastic P2K couplers are a thing
of the past). Oh, I forgot to mention they'll have all the grabirons and
ladder standoffs in the correct positions as well as the correct windshield
"eyebrow" grabirons--note some are attached at the top of the roof and some
are attached on the sloped part of the windshield area. Everything has been
applied as per photographs of the road number printed on the loco.

Chuck
