The PRRT&HS annual meeting is now just two weeks away. We've got a great
lineup of model railroad open houses this year and I wanted to provide a
preview for your planning and anticipation.
A tour guide with better descriptions, maps, and times will be available
at the registration table. Visitors will be asked to wear their annual
meeting registration badges.
Ken Dunn, Enola -- For his first time on the tour, Ken opens the doors to
his HO model railroad which features the Denholm coal wharf and Lewistown.
Steven Mallery, Camp Hill -- A tour veteran, Steven returns to the tour
this year with his HO Buffalo Line. A lot of scenery has been completed
since his last PRRT&HS open house. Steven is a dispatcher for Norfolk
Southern and his passion for operations shows on the model railroad.
Bob Charles, Camp Hill -- An NMRA MMR, this is Bob's first open house for
the PRRT&HS. He's a past NMRA president and models in HO.
Jeff Warner, Etters -- Jeff models the trifecta of PRR, Reading, and
Western Maryland. Since last time, Jeff has greatly expanded his HO empire
to include the PRR's Washington and Enola freight yards, Harrisburg
passenger yard, and Reading's Reading yard as visible staging.
Bob Martin, Emigsville -- Bob's HO Central Pennsylvania RR, has PRR roots.
Miniature Railroad Club of York, York -- Another veteran of the tour, this
is a large HO layout which is always worth a visit if you've never been
there.
Ken Murry, Mountville -- Weather permitting, Ken will open his garden
railroad for the day. The garden itself is often more of an attraction
than the trains!
Ken McCorry, Downingtown -- Need I say more? ;-)
HARRIS tower will be open, thanks to the Harrisburg Chapter, NRHS.
The CapitalPenNScalers will also be returning to the model room with their
NTRAK modular model railroad... heavily laden with PRR equipment, of
course!
