[PRR-talk] Lewistown Freights?

Considering mid-1950's...
Arranged Freight Service schedules do not show freights
originating/departing Lewistown, nor through freights showing blocks for
drop off at Lewistown.
Through photo books, I have found references to trains LA-1 and LA-2,
freights running between Lewistown and Altoona.
Now, I know the Milroy branch shipped up to 50 cars a day in limestown
from the Bethlehem Steel quarry via Lewistown. I would suspect this
traffic would have gone east. Doesn't make sense to ship it west. I
suspect the obvious, that there were also Enola-Lewistown trains. Anybody
know for sure? And what the symbols might have been?
One of the MSB books has a pic of a loco heading west at Duncannon with
only two cars (IIRC), saying it was the local bound for Lewistown. I find
it hard to believe any local would go that far from Enola, and a transfer
train would likely have many more than two cars.
Many references also indicate the Lewistown yard sent locals out on the
main in both directions. To the east there was definitely a few spots at
Hawstone, and perhaps they could have worked all the way east to Mifflin.
Anyone know? Symbols?
How about westward... how far? Symbols?
Thanks!
