Sorry, I'm going to have to disagree on this one.
Aerial photography from a plane from 2000 feet up will always be
sharper than a satellite 200 miles up. PRR had a photographer photo
almost every major industry along their mainlines with large format
cameras from airplanes. An "eye in the sky" wouldn't even come close to
the detail found on photos from those 1940-50s Speed Graphics cameras.
The PA State Archives has a collection of aerial photos from the
PRR collection. I think it's under the Penn Central collection.
