This site has aerial photographs of portions of the country. In the case of Philadelphia some of them go back to 1940. Realize up front that the aerial photography of the day is nowhere near as good as satellite imagery today. The area around North Phialdelphia station has pictures from 1970, 2002 and 2006. It also allows you to overlay images from different years to compare changes. Even the 1970 data is of interest to me since many of the buildings in that area were still standing. It is a little difficult to navigate but could be worth a visit. Much of Pennsylvania is not covered and it appears to be primarily centered around major cities. Norm Bell
