As for rolling stock, there have been rumors of Walthers interested in doing
a P70 coach. That could come out with the Broadway Limited announcement as
the Milw. ribbed side caboose was announced with the Hiawatha. Lastly, the
L-1 could be announced as well. If some tooling has started on the L-1, it
may make sense to release it on the coat tails of the Broadway Limited to
boast sales.

Please take that above as my own speculation.....I have no sources, just me.
Speculation can be both fun and frustrating.

I find speculation to be fun, so let me offer some. First, some facts:

1. Walthers offered the R50b in just about every possible paint scheme over
the life of the cars in the as-modeled configuration.

2. While the B60b has been out for over two years, Walthers has not offered
the non-messenger postwar schemes (but did do a late version).

3. The Walthers truck has plain bearings

I would think the B60b in the postwar Gold Leaf or 1952 Delux scheme would
be the best selling variations, so it is strange they haven't offered or
even announced these yet.

My theory is Walthers is waiting to release the postwar B60b's until the
roller bearing truck is tooled. At the same time, they will offer a P70.
