Guys

Hamburg Industries did refurbish scl cars and I think did both repair work
for scl, and also repair and refurbish and lease back cars to scl.

Passenger shops on coast line closed in rocky mount and jax in the late
60's. Will try to get some info also

I remember seeing a list of cars done for the scl somewhere.

Larry

Hamburg Industries was a contract shop located at North Augusta, SC.
Trailer Train Company purchased the facility in 1974 and it continues to
repair TTX Company equipment today. It is very doubtful that any of the old
records from 40 years ago would be around. However, I will forward your
message to the plant manager as some of the people there may still have
family members that worked there during that time and could shed some light.

Hello List,

Would like some help on something. I can remember while train
watching on the North Philadelphia platforms in the late 60's, Seaboard
Coast Line trains coming through with "Hamburg Industries" lettering on the
Pullman Cars. The lettering replace the former "PULLMAN on each end of the
car. I remember something about SCL selling the cars to them and then
leasing them back. Can anyone shed any more information on this.

Many Thanks

Bill
