I was just prowling about in the on-line catalog of the Hagley Museum
and Library. In the write-up on the records of the Vice-President,
Operations, I found this line:
"There is substantial information on rolling stock, particularly on
the development of the GG-1, T-1, S-2, and V-1 locomotives..."
V-1 locomotive? I assume this was either a study which never went
anywhere, or perhaps a typo in the catalog data.
Anyone know of a V-1 locomotive on/for the PRR? If so, what was it?
